THe organization

The Vermont Liberty Alliance is a confederation, one vote for each member organization. Governance is by majority vote, with the understanding that organizations are free to leave or join at will. Meetings will be held semi-annually, in January at a spot to be determined; and in August, following the Battle of Bennington parade.

emphasis on civilty

While our several groups share a common concentration on liberty, there are clearly specific policies and outlooks we differ on. It shall be the stated policy to emphasize civility in discussions and to require members to respect the traditions and beliefs of their fellow allies. Religion and the military are two topics that seem to arise the passions, so we ask, please be considerate and practice restraint. That's what liberty is all about! Freedom and respect.

how to join the alliance

Membership in the alliance is open to all Vermont-based organizations that share a dedication to our core beliefs. Your organization must consist of ten or more members. Please complete the application. Acceptance is dependent on a majority vote of the current alliance members
